farm house + garden cottage - morning mist room
The Morning Mist Room is a soft, light-filled upper-level bedroom in the Farm House, perfect for guests who want quiet, comfort, and a gentle reset.
Pale green-blue walls, sloped ceilings, and a skylight give the room an airy, tucked-away feel, while warm wood floors and a vintage rug add depth and warmth. The bed is dressed in soothing blue linens, with simple wood accents and clean lines that keep the atmosphere uncluttered and calm. Daylight enters from both the skylight and windows, creating an easy, natural rhythm from wake-up to wind-down.
This room is ideal for guests who love a cozy perch with natural light and a peaceful sense of privacy.
For Edge of Spring, the Morning Mist Room supports the weekend journey beautifully:
quiet inward rest,
grounded connection,
and a clear, energized return to the season ahead.
A tranquil room for soft mornings and steady renewal.
Please note: you may be sharing a bathroom with one other guest.
About the Farm House + Garden Cottage:
Once home to jazz legend Artie Shaw—who said “The place where for the first time in my life I had found a real home, a warm sense of security, and a feeling of calm and peace of mind”—Picardy Farms continues to radiate that same grounding, creative energy.
The Garden Cottage offers the best of both worlds: privacy when you want to reset, and seamless access to shared spaces when you want to gather. Thoughtfully designed for retreat weekends, it blends comfort, calm, and easy flow for small groups or breakout sessions.
Garden Cottage Layout: Semi-attached 3-bedroom home with a peaceful, private feel and convenient connection to the larger compound
Living Space: Cozy, intentional common area for conversation, journaling, tea, or quiet downtime between sessions
Kitchen + Dining: Practical, fully usable kitchen and dining area for casual breakfasts, shared meals, and nourishing retreat snacks
Outdoor Access: Immediate access to Picardy Farms’ 10 private acres plus 33-acre preserve, with meadows, wooded trails, and Catskill-facing viewpoints
Wellness Access: Full use of the property’s dedicated yoga and meditation studio (in the restored schoolhouse), full gym, and tranquil outdoor areas
